Ok quick question, what is in the bios banks when you first recieve your Xecuter3 chip?

I read on ModChipMan.com that banks 1-4 are flashbios 3.0.1 and banks 5-8 are flashbios 3.0.3. So is every chip programmed with these bioses are the initial default bioses? Because System-Mods.com does not mention anything about the bioses that are on the chip?

Basically are they flashed with the bios in the factory or by the retailor meaning they could be different and could have the incorrect bios for my system?

Thank you for your help and patience.

Ok, but how do I go about "requesting" (legal) bioses?

As far as I can tell there is no page on system-mods to do that. Nor have I found this on any of the distributors.

Thanks for helping me out :D

Most chips come with either the 3.0.0 or 3.0.1 on them. The later version, 3.0.3 is needed for the latest 1.6b Xbox's (I think) but not all X3 chips have that in the BIOS - if it hasnt and you have this with a late xbox, you will need to send the chip back to be re-flashed with the 3.0.3 to get it to work.

Figured I post this here...I just finish installing my X3 had no problems at all...I came to the bios screen and reads ver 3.0.0

1. My Box is a ver 1.4 or 1.5 (couldn't find out, dont have a multimeter) I'm planning on making Avalaunch mydefault dash do I need ver 3.0.3? for what i've read 3.0.3 is mainly for versions 1.6b (so that it could work) I guess I'm just confused as far as bios is concerned period. can anyone point me in the right direction? I remember coming accross an explanation but cant find it anymore....thanx for the help sorry if overlooked a post about this already. I'll give you a Gmail invite for helping me... ps. I only have 2 for now.

your 3.0.0 will work. You were correct when saying 3.0.3 is for 1.6b
You do not need to upgrade it. I would go with bios 1959 and you will be up and running no problem. It doesn't matter what bios you have to be able to run a dash.
