Definatley Appears to be something not quite right with Slims and recent dash

As above, I now have 2 slims, one of which has been working flawlesly before I updated the dash and dashlaunch 2.27

Some of the time once gliltched it works, then other times i get a solid red centre light...

Any suggestions?

Not sure this is possible but have you tried returning it back to your original glitched nand to see if the error still exists ?

dont need to downgrade just check if the same thing happens when booting xell.

this is strange, i have just created the 13604 dash (multi build 0.4) and its doing the same thing, so its not an issue as first thought. I got 3 perfect boots and then on the 5th, solid red light......I am totaly stumped on this one

solid light is the same as 3 red lights on a phat. Have you tried a retail nand? Also, probably a stupid question, but are you using the hotfix?

not gone back to original nand yet, will do but this funnily enough only started after I upgraded the first slim using Xebuild, and the other was built straight away using xebuild, but since gone back to multibuilder.....

OK, more of an update, think I may have just fixed it!

Hows this for luck, it would appear that both cool runner switches may be faulty, after vigerously moving both switches and leaving them on slim, may have cured it (this was happening on both phat and slim options..

cheers mate debating now whether to give it a go on mine to see if its ok. surely if it was the new dash causing it mate then flashing back you 13604 original freeboot image would eradicate the problem again? no?

I have no idea, I have done loads of RGH and this particular one (although I may have another one doing the same) is getting on my nerves now, re-checked all wiring, changed CPU_RST wire (blue) as I was not happy with the way it had been kinked, anyway just changed it, got 6 sucessful boots and then on the 7 try I get red light.

At this point dashlaunch is not installed at the minute.

Does my log file look ok, I cant persnally see anhything wrong, but 2 pair of eyes is better than one!

have u tried flashing back to org nand and then if everything is working fine, flash ecc and see if the same thing happens while booting xell.

not tried that yet, but oddly enough it does happen occasionally white booting into Xell.

I've had enough of it tonight, will come back to it tomorrow.

If someone could just check my log file for me for peice of mind that would be good.

Does it do the same if you have the hard drive and any usb devices unplugged? I had a red light problem yesteday intermittantly like you but always booted fine with HDD disconnected.

Try eliminating the coolrunner completley by desoldering the wires from the installed coolrunner board and soldering them to a spare coolrunner if you have got one!
