Hi! Team-Xecuter
i will try my best to explain my problem,
so let's start I have Retail image on xbox360 nand and R-jtag image on DemoN nand.

DemoN nand with R-Jtag image boots but xbox360 nand gets rrod 0010 and if I first start with DemoN nand selected and when it is running switch to the xbox360 nand and then start the xbox360 it boots Retail and R-Jtag image just as it should

but when i unplug the xbox360 i have to do the same to get Retail to boot with out rrod.

"First start xbox with DemoN nand" "Second Switch nand when xbox is running" "Third start with xbox360 nand selected and retail works!"

Little info of this xbox:
Never had rrod when i bouth it new i installed the x-clamp fix directly.
when i make that trick to get the retail to boot the R-jtag flash green really fast and if i dont do the trick it will rrod 0010 directly.
R-jtag works great!
DIPS: 2, 7 = ON - 1.2v JUMPER ON - JTAG AUD_CLAMP OPTION - 470 JUMPER
tried the ALT CPU-RST R8C2 no difference.

I have installed a few R-jtag with success but this is my first Demon install.

if i forgot to add something just say! i will add it

Pictures of install:

Thank you very much for taking your time to help!

EDIT:
Got retail booting on both DemoN and xbox360 nand by desoldering the R-jtag +5v
and if i solder the +5v back whit retail image on both DemoN and xbox360 nand
i don't have to do the weird trick to get retail to boot from xbox360 nand but DemoN nand will just try to glitch

this got me tinking is there something i am doing wrong with the R-jtag image? :O

and then i found out there is a "WARNING: could not patch SMC reset limit!"
when i create the R-jtag image

the R-jtag image works with this WARNING but when i write it to the DemoN i need to make that weird trick to get retail booting on the xbox360 nand with out rrod.

Are you saying that the console red rings when you try and boot it from the XBOX 360 NAND?

Nice soldering by the way - that install is nice and clean
.

Thank you very much for your crazy fast and kind reply!

What weird trick are you speaking of? Unplugging and plugging back in?

I've had consoles do that before. Sometimes they would switch fine , others would require hard reset.

I just finished my R-Jtag and Demon also and I wish I could find a good guide on operation of the Demon. I can boot my R-Jtag image on 360 nand and on Demon Nand but when I flash my 360 nand with stock image it red rings unless I desolder the 5v power to the R-Jtag chip. I assumed that the Demon would have killed the power to the R-Jtag to operate the stock nand but I'm also new to the Demon operation.

the demon doesnt kill the power to r-jtag, my jasper, the r-jtag doesnt glitch on stock nand...... well the green light does blink once when you hit the power button but the rater doesnt detect it as a glitch........ As for the demon problem, i had one do this also, never did find out what was wrong with it, because i put it back together and gave it to my girls son for his birthday, then it ended up getting rrod after playing it for like an hour...... so i told him i would get him a new xbox, and havnt gotten to it yet, but I figured it was something with the ressetting of the smc, which makes me think the southbridge may need reflowed/reballed. do not quote me on this, i am just guessing.

Hi Shaq!
Do you get the "WARNING: could not patch SMC reset limit!" when you create your R-Jtag image? and is your CB like mine? Retail image CB-5774 and R-Jtag image CB-5770? don't really know if this matters :/
hope these pros around here can answer this!

I also tried made a retail image of 15574 and but it to the DemoN,
the xbox works just as it should!.

xbox 360 nand have 16203 and DemoN nand have 15574 also checked that both images have the same CB and they had but when i make the R-Jtag image it gets wrong CB I don't know if meant to be this way.

Kind regards:

Why are you making a 15574 image for the glitch side ? Why not make a 16203 image ?
It was just a test  just tried with a retail 16203 image and it worked!, both nand boots and switches just as it should.
the R-jtag image works also but when I have it on the DemoN nand the xbox360 nand with retail won't work with out doing this "first start the xbox with Demon nand selected then when the xbox is running switch nand and then start with xbox360 nand selected boom stock works!"

obviously the problem is the smc isnt resetting on nand change....... the question is how do you fix this..... i would try building a new image with latest j-runner
(289) if i remember correctly.

Yes that's what I am also thinking,
Today I installed fresh xp/vista/win 7 and 8 and then I tested to create the image and still same warning :/ used latest J-Runner (289) downloaded it fresh also.

Found a thread with same problem but i guess it never got solved, not sure:

Thank you for taking your time!

Morning,
I have my Demon setup working now with stock image of 16203 on retail nand and R-Jtag 16203 on Demon nand and all boots fine. With my Demon on it will boot my R-Jtag 16203 image on first cycle about 95% (I used the Rater function to fine tune).
To boot my stock nand
Hit the Demon's nand switch while running Demon nand. (This prevents R-Jtag from glitching on stock nand boot and powers off Xbox)
Hit power on and stock nand starts normally.
Hope this helps

Oh and I also had the "WARNING: could not patch SMC reset limit!" and have CB of 5774 built with J-Runner v0.2 beta (290)

That's just the problem i am trying to get rid of and thats also the trick i was talking about :)

but this tread can no be closed because i removed the DemoN from this xbox and installed it to a jasper R-Jtag system working 100%! nand switching without doing any tricks
don't know why it didn't want to work on this falcon :/ maybe it is need of a reheat/reball of some sort don't know
