Hello. My demon chip will not read the NAND it says manufacturer for code ff not found. I am not a novice at soldering or at xboxs. But this is my first demon chip install.

You need to provide images of your soldering and a J-Runner log before we can help you further.

I can tell you now that your issue is down to one of two things - poor soldering (the likely cause) or you don't have the ribbon cable seated correctly.

I added pictures but some were to large. I could not add them on my phone that is why i could not do it right then. I have added 3 now.

Have you checked the adjacent pads on the DemoN for shorts?

If there are none, check each DemoN pad against it's respective NAND pin on top of the board (you should be able to just run your multimeter probe across the pins - a "beep" will tell you that there is a connection (if your multimeter gives out an audible beep for continuity)).

Remove the SBR, TX and RX wires for now and leave only GND, 5V and RB soldered.

You really need to check for continuity on those quick-solder points.

Mine doesn't make any sound either, it adds to the excitement.
Set it to resistance and if the needle shoots all the way to the side, you have continuity = sound.

It makes it easier if it makes sound but as long as can see its just a little more job but not realy harder to do.

I also attempted reading the name via nandx. That did not work either. I have done that countless of times. I tried 4 different sets of wires. I will try removing those wires. If I remove those wires it won't read the NAND, correct?

I have never needed the multimeter for any other install. Only for repairs. I have installed *******s. But this is my first demon.

The DemoN communicates with the NAND directly which is why we can read it much faster than if we were using a NAND-X or JRP.

Damaged SPI points would not prevent you from reading the NAND with a DemoN.

I checked for continuity. All of them had it. Removed the wires as you said. Tried it. Still has the same error. I will be attempting to redo all points.
