FIXED Demon + Coolrunner Give "Red Dot" on Stock Nand But Boots OK

Hey TX,

I have installed a coolrunner rev c and demon into my console. Both working great, only 1 problem. When I boot the stock nand on the 360 I get a "red dot" but the console still boots fine.

I looked into the issue and some of the solutions were:

*Unbridge JP. (I never bridged JP in the first place, so I couldnt do this.)

*Switch CR to "Phat" (I did, fixes the issue, but now my console takes a long time to glitch on the demon nand)

Any suggestions? I cant win with this situation right now!!

You need to change the position of the cpu reset wire as it is interference causing the red dot. If you listen closely to the console when this happens you will hear it resetting excessively which is the interference which causes the red dot.

okay ill look into this....Thanks. I am using the low loss double shielded cable though...wouldnt you think there would be less interference with that?

If I cannot get the issue fixed the next time I mess with it, I will upload some pics. I just went home to my hometown for spring break and left the console at school.....so It may be a while for further support.

Okay, will do man. Thanks for the suggestion. bad idea to use the slim post qsb?? or just do the classic 50cm blue wire coiled up??

Leave the shielded cable there but desolder the grounding wire.

QSB works fine with shorter wire or just the 50cm around the xclamp

I finally had the chance to start messing with my consoles again. This fixed the issue and I just wanted to say thanks. This thread can be closed!!
