Hello there. I have an xbox360 slim 4gb Trinity mobo and I bought about a year ago a Demon and a coolrunner revC to make it dual boot.
I must say upfront that although I am a very experienced user when it comes to PCs hardware/software/overclocking etc , and I have also modded several xboxs dvd drives myself, my soldering skills are very novice.
However with some help I managed to get everything installed and everything worked great!
I put the xbox aside for a couple of months and when I tried to re-use it I noticed that it didn't always work as before. With the stock nand it would work 100% but with the RGH nand it would not always glitch even if I waited several minutes. At some point it would stop trying....sometimes it would even stop trying after 15 seconds...seemed weird. I was working flawlessly 2 months ago...
Anyway I opened it to check the solder points and fix maybe somthing. I didn't notice anything really off....however I had to try something, so I re-soldered some of the difficult points like the STB_CLK. I never touched the DEMON wires as it seemed like it was purely a coolrunner problem...
The bad thing is, I made it worse...now it would glitch even more rarely and sometimes it would give me red lights, errors etc. Continued tinkering and ended up at a point where it would not boot at all (as it no power).
I tried the alternative point for STB_CLK but nothing changed. I figured I might have destroyed the line there so I did the fix mentioned with a 33 ohm resistor for this point but no boot again.
If I choose the stock nand from Demon it boots and works fine. This leads me to believe there is no damage to the xbox itself. However I don't know what else to try and if I should start tinkering with the Demon... I figured since I made things worse by tinkering with the coolrunner wires that the problem should be there now and if I reach the initial point of it booting just not glitching always, then I could try something with the Demon...is that logic wrong?
I would appreciate some help and ideas...
