Guys, I bought my Demon a while back but have just gotten around to fixing it to my trinity. After a lot of searching and reading I found this forum to have a lot of leetist types on it and not being very helpful when asked simple questions. Anyway as most people just want simple answers here's a photo to install the Demon properly with all correct wires installed - some of these are missing on the stickies and guides - so hopefully this will help you.

Here you go:

On the Proto v2 - I have dip switch 5 selected on my trinity - not 1 which is shown.

Hope this helps those that want an easy install with the demon being able to perform with all known options currently supported.

2.

leetist
One who denys actual fact in the gaming world, adopting the idea that whatever is "the latest and greatest" is better than anything else. The leetist is often found spending in excess on these types of games.

A leetist often points out graphical details and ignores real gameplay when confronted with an objection.
When someone mentions an older game the leetist points out that its out of date and the graphics are sub-par.

This is what i thought he meant

elitist

1. A person who believes that they are superior to others (and thus deserve favored status) because of their intellect, social status, wealth, or other factors.

2. Somebody who believes that society should be ruled by an elite class.
The acedemic's elitist, arrogant outlook made it hard for him to make friends with people.

I took that proto 2 picture from this forum - My soldering if far superior to that :), but it does have Cr-EN wire fitted - so you can see where to solder it to the demon.

Its quite self explanatory anyway since it has cr-en printed next to the pad on both the demon and proto lol.

Yes, maybe if you have done it before and you know what to look for, noobs don't necessarily know that this point exists as they are usually following a guide that doesn't point this out. I think not everyone would be as wise as yourself my friend, so therefore sometimes it's good to point these things out as it's not mentioned in the JF guide or in the forum guides.

Jesus man, the guy is trying to help out.

I agree the first time I did a demon install there was some shifting back and forth looking at install guides. I'm sure this will help someone.

Agreed, every bit of info help when it's your first time.

You just have to look over some people and their comments on this forum, but if it's your first time soldering i advise you to practice on something thats no good so it wont matter if you screw it up..

You can't be a pro if you haven't been a beginer at one time in your modding career.

Theres a reason the demon comes with a card in the box that says for pro installers only
This is the kind on leetists post I was talking about in my first post - people ask simple questions, people that maybe it's there first time modding a box (they might be great at soldering and do that for a job but never moddded a box before). Generally people have looked around and read a few posts - and maybe they never found the answer they were looking for, hence they asked here only to be greeted with some smart guy giving them - 'it came with a card' type of answer!

Anyway here is an alternate picture: with the NAND-X update cable connected to the Demon - this is so you can monitor xell loading to get your CPU key, without needing to hook the xbox360 up to a TV or Monitor:

Why don't you edit your last pic into your first post of the thread..

The first picture shows the proto v2 on top of the board - the second pic shows the pins to solder to if you want to put the proto v2 underneath the board.

I know but its best to have ll the pics in one post, but its your thread so do as you want..
