TX Product(s) used: DemoN
Console Type: Trinity
NAND size: 16
Images of close-up soldering to motherboard:
See end of post

Was the console working before you started: Yes

Description of problem:
I just installed a demon into a trinity slim. Was able to read the nand of the mobo from the DemoN, then I Flashed the stock nand to the demon, after that I flip the switch from PC to Xbox and I'm unable to get the console to boot, the fans kick up all the way on high, and I don't have a blue led on the demon switch no matter if I push the button or not. I detached the x7 and x8 wires to get the demon as stock as possible. I don't understand what's going on. If I was able to read and write the band through the demon, shouldn't I be getting a blue light no matter what? Here's pictures of the demon install

At what point did you do this? Before or after reading the 360 NAND?
I read the Nand first, by using the micro usb on the board of the DemoN with the switch on PC. After that I wrote the nand to the Demon. Then, I switched the switch to Xbox, and then the issues started to arise.

So to answer your question in short, I did it after reading the nand.

In the demon install guide, it specifically says that if the demon is in the xbox the switch should be on xbox, not PC.

And what did you intend to achieve by reading a blank NAND on the DemoN and writing it back again?

There's a reason the card shipped with the DemoN says it's for professional installation. You obviously haven't a clue what you're doing and frankly we're not here to teach you.

I didn't read a blank nand, I read the 360 nand. In Jrunner, at the bottom right hand corner I toggled it until it said 360, not demon. As stated above, I left the switch on PC. So it looks like the one thing I messed up was toggling a switch at the wrong times. I'm not asking for you to teach me. I don't know where you came to that conclusion. I'm asking for help in how to diagnose the issue, and we have. And the last thing I asked was how to see if a new DemoN is needed or if there is a way to use the same one.

I apologize for not having the know how of doing everything right on the second try. I've read and read for weeks. And I have forgotten one of the smallest details that was crucial. So I apologize for not having the knowhow of every professional modder in the world. But please, I'm just trying to pick up a new hobby.

While I appreciate calling modding a hobby, I always thought of it as a passion. on a more serious note, dont think you are the first person to overlook a small detail and have horrible results. As for the blue lights on the demon board, have you tried reseating the ribbon cable? I accidentally broke the little piece of plastic that holds mine in, and the lights sometimes get dim, and flicker, also make sure you didnt put the cable in upside down, as that was a mistake I made first time out. As far as it not booting the stock nand on the demon this could have to do with bad blocks not being remapped properly, but without the j-runner log, it is hard to be difinitive.

So the console doesn't power up at all now, on either 360 or DemoN setting?

No blue light on the external USB module is bad as it means no voltage is getting to the DemoN.

Alright, all is good with the DemoN, turns out I had a bad ribbon cable. Thank the lord it was just that. Now I am having issues with my Proto v2. Thank you guys for the help. I really appreciate it. I'll go make a proto v2 thread now. Thanks!
