Hey guys. a friend of mine demoned my xbox last year, everything worked flawlessly until I tried to update to the latest dashboard. My console boots with both nands but I can't seem to read or write to the nand using demon.
Here are some pics of the solders

I checked the continuity with a multimeter and everything seems ok, just didn't know how to check the demon-nand conection itself.

thanks in advance

Check that there are no shorts between the adjacent pads on the DemoN and also check for continuity from those pads to the NAND pins on top of the board.

You should also double check that the ribbon cable is inserted correctly.

Grounding the external USB module also helps in some cases.

There are two checks to make as the NAND on the DemoN should be directly linked to the NAND on the console:

1. Check each test pad on the DemoN with the corresponding pin on its NAND.

2. Check each test pad on the DemoN with the corresponding pin on the 360 NAND.

If any of these fail, you've found your problem.

made both tests several times. all is good :(
Is the ribbon cable seated firmly and correctly (it can sometimes slip underneath the socket)?

Is the external USB module grounded?

I also notice that the switch on the DemoN is set to "PC" - it must be set to "XB".

when I set the switch to XB no light come on on the external usb, it only lights up in PC

edit: I plugged the power brick and tried with the switch on XB and I had the same error on jrunner.

This guy seems to have the exact same problem. sometimes my console would only beep and not turn on, it would only turn on after pressing the nand switch button a couple of times.
Perhaps you guys have encountered something similar.
