Got my new Weller wd 1000 iron, so i said id take it for a spin :D

Anyway I have the Demon installed, Some of the points have been pulled on this slim when removing a ******* months ago - Points have been repaired. The Voltages on the demon measure 5.14v at the stb5v point. But when i plug it into the pc nothing happens. Switch is on Xbox position. No LED's Either anywhere

I know how much everyone loves pictures here so :

Resoldered SM1 so i could lift the demon a bit and fit in a usb cable, switching the onboard switch to PC. Nand Reads and writes fine now. Demon powers and recognizes grand. Still no luck when using the extrenal USB. Ill check the Extrenal module now. Atleast i know the demon itself is ok

Also just to add, I wrote the original nand back to the console, read it back and it verified. The console doesnt boot still thouh

Tried to check continuity, Em, none of the points have it ?, Like atall. They're all reading infinity, given im using an incredibly cheap meter but im getting nothing from the pin on one side of the jack to the other

EDIT Again, tried to check continuity on a piece of wire. Got nothing. Then the handle came off the wire of the multimeter. So thatd explain that... anything that doesnt involve a multimeter ?

FINAL Edit. Found the problem. The ribbon cable was bushed in below the cable. And i didnt notice. And ive been looking at the thing for 30 minutes ... ah well, sorry for the waste of a post. But someone might do the same if their as thick :p
