MOBO: Corona V3

Hardware: Postfix v2, demon slim w/ 16mb upgrade, CR3 Lite

Problem:

When i plug in the powerbrick the CR3 Lite gets power (red and green leds stay on.)

However the demon doesnt, the led never comes on. Its not noticed in demon toolbox or jrunner. Im pretty sure all wires are soldered correctly but ill let you judge that. Pictures of install are below. Thanks for the help in advance.

If you need anymore pictures let me know.

Edit: Also i can read the nand from the demon by using the micro usb directly on the demon but once again the led still doesnt come on. Thats the only way so far that ive gotten the demon to be noticed in toolbox or jrunner.

Did you test the DemoN before installing it?

Have you re-seated the ribbon cable?

Have you checked for continuity from the pins on the ribbon socket to the pins on the external module?

It's easier to get the ribbon cable in wrong then what it is to get it right. :p

Check to make sure its seated right. What happens is, it will go under the pins on the inside of the connector instead of on top off them and not make connection as it should.

Tapatalk misspelled it. Knot me.

Are you getting a "beep" for each pin?

What happens when you push the button on the external module (with the power brick connected to the console)?

Have you grounded the external module?

It's a bit of a long shot, but can you confirm that the console is getting 5v when in standby?

Connect the PSU to the console, set your multimeter to volts, put the black probe on ground and the red probe on that 5v point.

If you get a 5v reading, the only other thing I can suggest is to re-solder the DemoN's ground wire.

Well i guess my multimeter is broken. Its not even picking up a 9v battery anymore. When i tried the above the cr3 lights turned off, as soon as i removed the ground probe they came back on. I did the same test just now on the 12v and ground directly under the psu connection and the above happened. Ill get a new multimeter tomorrow but im almost positive i have good connections. What else do you think it could be?

Just a question - why are you using the Coolrunner adaptor from the DemoN box when it has the connector already on the CR3 Lite? It won't be affecting what you're doing but thought to mention it anyway.

Take picture of the USB ribbon connector as it's connected at both ends.

I've only used rev c coolrunners so I'm not to familiar with the cr3 lites. But I'll use that when I get home. Also on my lunch break ill swing by and take those pics when I get home.

Solder a wire from the en pad on your cr3lite to the adaptor en pad on the cr3lite. This may not be a solution to your problem but its something I noticed when comparing to other installs.
