Hello, Dreds here,
Thanks for reading ,
Just like to say that this site has helped me greatly in sorting out some problems i had with some old boxes and now have been given a new lease of life , so many thanks to the users and this forum !!

So , i am looking to do my first demon and have been doing a little research . I have a few questions ,
Does the demon work better with CR3lite or R-Jtag ?
I have a Jasper elite sb with R-Jtag already on it , am i right in thinking that i have to desolder the Qsb s , re-write the stock nand back to it , then write the update flash nand to the demon first then install ?
Thanks for any help , sorry for the questions , but i would like to clarify this before i even attempt an install
Thanks again

Demons work fine with rjtag.

You can just install the demon to your jasper, you dont need to remove any qsb's your adding the demon.

Also the stock image would need to go back to the Xbox 360 nand and rjtagi image flashed to the demon

The demon reads/writes a lot faster than the Jr programmer as well.
I think the only issue you would have is the demon with big block adapter clashing with the jtag 2 qsb.
But you should be able to just install the demon, then run the ribbon cable that would have gone to a CR right into the J2 connector on the rjtag.
Then with the usb adapter on demon, write stock nand to onboard, then flash the freeboot image to the demon.

hello the glow , thanks for the advice mate ,
right i 'm back again, Here are my results , :
After a day of soldering and de soldering lol i finally got this going ..RESULT !!!
so i had soldered the demon on , (quite well i thought , those small points are tricky ) got the demon powered on and the r-jtag also had power , all good , but for some reason i could only boot my stock nand , ??
so i tried stock nand on demon and it booted , and stock nand on mobo and both booted well , the problem was it wouldn't boot the freeboot nand from the demon so i looked about and came across this

http://team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php/137179-Not-booting-Stock-NAND

same problem , so i read through and saw this

I did realise though that the fans sound like they are pulsing fast about 5 times before it RROD.
So that's the important part right there. CPU_RST is not releasing and won't until you power cycle the box. THAT's why it's not booting stock afterwards.

Therefore the issue lies with the R-JTAG setup, namely the CPU_RST wire, power option chosen and DIPs selected. You need to get it to a point where it's not triggering the resetting of the fans.

the important thing for me was to power cycle the xbox as martin c says ,
unplugged all cables left for 5 min s plugged in and BOOM dual nand !!!
just wanna say thanks to everyone who commented and Martin C ...You De MAN !!!!!
thanks again
