Demon Pad Question

I have installed all of the points on my demon but I think that I have used to much heat on one of the points.
The tab at D4 has come off and I wanted to know if the point at D4 runs through the tab.

If so thats fine and ill just uncover the trace and bridge it, wont be using that much heat next time.

Another question, I have seen allot of tabs coming off and I wanted to know if it was possible that my DemoN was non genuine?

Here is a picture with the tab highlighted in green.

Thanks.

It's more possible you're not best suited to install the DemoN as you cannot solder. There's a reason why we mark this product for pro installation only.

I was actually waiting for your reply. That's basically all you post for people who are new but actually I'm not. I have 5 years soldering experience and it was a simple mistake that people are allowed to make because we are human.

I already had thought about how to fix the problem and I knew exactly what had caused it and just wanted to clarify.

I'm glad I didn't disappoint.

Rather than post a stock image of the product, post a picture of your install please.

Keep you 'we all make mistakes', 'we're all human', 'we have to learn sometime' comments to yourself as they are wholly irrelevant.

"I've been soldering for 5 years!" Proceeds to ruin $50 demon and $100 xbox.

What were you soldering with for 5 years? A MIG welder?

In the case of a spelling error, I blame Tapatalk.

Come on guys!

I've noticed many times some are quick with the noobie-solder-bashing.
I myself am not inexperienced with soldering, but sometimes sh*t happens.
Every now and then you get a board that has just been in the etching solution (dunno the English term, so translated literally from Dutch :) ) too long and some has crept under the pad loosening it a bit from the underlying mobo.

That being said, some people ARE just artards when it comes to soldering and should NEVER be allowed near a soldering iron (or gun.. Trust me, I've seen boards brought in manhandled with one). I always stay nice and polite and offer any assistance I can.

People on forums are usually embarrassed enough they f**ked up and are asking for some help. Its not really constructive to flame them and says more about the flamer and his view on people than anything else really.

So, please.. pretty please with a ff-ing cherry on top, be nice :)

Back to the problem at hand.. I would simply trace all the traces back to their pads and simply eliminate the ones that you see. The trace left should be the D4 trace.

Good luck!

The main question has already been answered. My reply was in response to the question 'is this a fake as a lot of the pads are lifting'.
Its just good to know if its genuine or not just in case my supplier isn't pulling tricks on me.
I trust that Xecuter makes good products but they are the ones I trust. People inbetween and other scumbags who try to make rip-offs are the ones I don't trust.

Anyhow, I fixed the problem and all is well for now.
