(ANSWERED) DemoN Trinity Booting RDot

KEEP CHECKING SOLDER POINTS, THE EXTERNAL USB's RIBBON WAS PLUGGED IN BELOW THE CONNECTORS

Credit to: Martin C and BlaK3y :D In this thread and previous threads pertaining to this install

-DemoN is not lighting up, ever. Set to XB or PC and plugged into PC or PSU or if xbox is on
-Same with the external USB (Computer doesn't read external usb either)

-Coolrunner Rev B installed and hooked up to DemoN along with CR_EN alternative point for rev b and a

-Can't switch NAND on xbox, it always boots the DemoN NAND (RGH'd NAND)

-Goes straight to Red Dot after the coolrunner has glitched it

-I have Xbox NAND written to it's original Retail

-Xbox boots fine when NAND's are written to Retail

yes. i have gone over all wires, re-soldered, double checked their position and consulted several people. so far no idea whats wrong. Just RDot and no LEDs on either demon or external usb.

ribbons are firmly in

Are we talking about the same continuity checks?

So you've traced every QSB TP back to the console NAND and checked for shorts on adjacent QSB points?

i don't know what that is? that didnt make sense to me.

UPDATE!!! NO MORE RDOT BUTTTTT IT DOESN'T SWITCH NANDs! ITS ONLY BOOTING RGH NAND (DemoN NAND)
It makes sense to people who solder, which again is why this is for installation by someone experienced.

While you're at it, check that ribbon cable where it's plugged into the USB port as it looks too low. Hard to tell from here but you might have missed the port and gone under the connector.

@Martin C, you are truly my savior. Now that the RRoD is gone, the RGH is programmed successfully. It works 100%. learning experience i guess. Still don't know about that Red Dot. But, with some troubleshooting i installed a demon. Credit to everyone who helped! Mainly blak3y and martin c
