Have a glitching Trinity using a CR Rev B with great boot times. Attempted DemoN install today and hit issues...

Can update Xbox and DemoN NANDs without issue using J-Runner and can flash CR all without error. Power up though and nada, CR has red power light lit but the green debug light doesn't cycle as it did pre DemoN install. No screen output at all aka no error messages.

1. Tested DemoN before install as per the threads and all was okay.
2. Been around all my QSB points, wires and ribbon cables loads of times, cannot see any bad joins etc.
3. Removed all DemoN wires and can glitch again which I'm thinking means its still my QSB's and solder points right?

I'm after some pointers on troubleshooting steps i.e. do I go straight to reverting all to stock, rip out my CR and see if it boots with DemoN in? Not sure on the right approach?

Any hot tips on descoldering QSB points would also be apprecaited?

Cheers,

K

you flashed the CR with Trinity xsfv files and ticked the DemoN box? Also you need to do this with the DemoN installed and the EN point soldered between the addon adapter and coolrunner.

Also can you confirm if you can read/write the NAND's perfectly using the DemoN USB connector? If so test DemoN by flashing original NAND to it and booting stock NAND from DemoN it self.

Yes, see pic of install...https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B-TVZXjnpIC7dGZzdkpxdUprM2s

Have just done this again to be double sure, J-Runner says all flashing is fine, except I get nothing when I power up the xbox, just the flashing green xbox power light (no dvd installed) and the red power light on the CR.

If you want to run stock NAND from the DemoN, you have to switch the CR off by turnning the switch go PRG.

I had this problem on a phat demon install. With a multimeter check the demon QSB points are not shorting out/touching each other.

Okay, my first success...stock NAND image on DemoN with CR turned off boots!!! Is that were I've been going wrong, I wanted to leave my hack image on the Xbox and only use stock from DemoN...do I need to swap that around?

:D

Yes, because the timing file will de-activate the coolrunner when switched to the xbox onboard NAND hence that's why it wasn't glitching in the first place.

Swap images around so you would have the glitching image on the DemoN and stock NAND onboard xbox NAND.

Thanks guys, its now all working as expected...can't believe that's had me boxed for the last few hours...noob for sure :rolleyes2:

One this I've noticed though is the glitch boot now takes longer than without DemoN, is this expected? Do I just need to play around with my POST QSB again?

From personal experience I never experienced any difference in boot speeds but that's mainly is because I attempted to glitch the console at the end of the install of everything and tune everything up.

Try some cables tweaking and see what results you get, also this may vary after you put everything back together.
