Take some close-up photos of the quick-solder points and re-solder your 5v STBY (red) wire (try tinning it first).

Also check that you grounded the external module and that the ribbon cable is inserted correctly and firmly.

Soldering is awful. I'm assuming you've carried out all the necessary continuity checks between QSB and console as well as between the DemoN and USB board?

I would definalty say it is the soldering. This happened to me the other day. After i unistalled it cleaned it all up and had another go it worked fine. There is probably a small bridge somewhere.

I removed the demon completely and it is recognized via the Micro USB but not the External Module.
