I have a DemoN and a coolrunner hoocked up inside my xbox and they work fine, although the internal nand (clean) is not booting I keep getting E71. Looked it up and it was about being a bad update, soi re flashed the nand and it still does not work. Also installed is the internal memory mod and that is the 320gb stock xb hdd and in the hard drive lot Ihave a 500gb that wont be seen by the stock dash. not sure if pictures are relavent since this should be nand related and the whole thing was working yesterday.

are you using the cr_en timing file? it disables the cr when booting stock nand. i had same problem a couple ofweeks ago. give me a minute and i will link you

found it: http://team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=88173

also have you soldered to cr_en wire in place (coolrunner to demon)

as a quick test, set the coolrunner to prog, and try to boot retail. if it boots fine you have found the issue

please be aware. i had a similier problem. my retail nand would not boot > blank screen. however the demon booted fine.

i am not saying this is 100% the answer to your problem. but its what i was missing.

Wired the nands so that they both boot hacked nands and they both boot fine. When I flash my non hacked nand back and re flash the stock it still does not boot. What could this be? Its obviously a problem that wouldn't occurs with the hacked version... is there anything besides security checks that it goes through on start up?

Load your original NAND into J-Runner and check your LDV, then boot xell and check the number of f's in fuseset 7. Also if possible post a picture of your J-Runner showing all info about your original NAND dump?

I needed to be exact, is that the fuseset booting of DemoN or 360 NAND? Also think we might have found the problem, your LDV's don't match. You must have updated at some point!

Create a retail NAND image with LDV 9 and see if that works!

that was the internal that was created out of the nand but the nand is on a different FW because I never had a chance to update it... but ill see if that will work. went back and remake the nand to be the correct FW and its still 9.

Set the LDV to 9

Still red light. is it 9 or 1+9?

A failed system update can be cleared by pressing the sync button and holding it. Then power on the console on the retail nand and continue to hold the sync button until the console fully boots or the system give an error.

You did write the demon timing files to the coolrunner and hook up the CR EN wire right.

If its booting the glitch image on the consoles nand then its not your LDVs unless your glitch image has a different LDVs then the retail image.

yea everything is how it should be, I will try this sync thing when in a few hours... As for the LDV potential issue, which LDV do I change, there are two a middle one thats 7 and the last one thats 8. I counted 9 fs and think that might be the problem. I tried to update a few days ago and it didnt work, but at the same time it worked afterwards. it did that freeze thing at boot up restarted it and now nothing.
