Hey Guys,

I am new the the forums and I know not all of my data is up to date in regards to console setups, however this is more of a general question.

I have an Development 360 with a dev OS, now there were some tools installed but while I was playing with it I accidentally removed them. Ok so i lied, I was trying to play retail games on it and it wasn't working so I tried playing with the settings.. Please don't flame.. I was stupid I know.

I was wondering since the current firmware is not retail is there any way to use NAND-X to load a proper firmware version that is playable?

I can get more details tomorrow for who ever wants to know what firmware version and code name is installed, I have to take it out of the mothballs tomorrow and boot it up.

Thanks.

Soo,

I just installed my NAND-X on this system to see what I can do. I have tested all of my solder joints (as far as i know I am not new at soldering - its my day job) everything rings out correctly.

I installed the drivers and pulled a dump from my NAND and i get FlashConfig: 01198030 I have googled and search every forum i can find no one has ever seen this config. Is it because its a dev board? Is there anyways I can continue?

Please help.

That was my plan, I got this box from a friend to try and jtag for my g/f's little brother, and me until the reset glitch addon is released for my slim and jasper elite.

TBH I've not seen anyone do it. However as long as your dump is good and can revert to it, nothing stops you trying to JTAG it like a Falcon/Zephyr and flashing XeLL. It'll either boot or it won't.

The devs run on recoveries. I am pretty sure you cant convert it to a jtag/retail as they are different hardware. To update you would need to flash a new recovery, or get a remote recovery. You have a pretty rare board there they didnt make many of the blue dev kits. I believe that is a proto if i remember correctly.

Also the problem with the games. Devs dont actually read retail games. They read only really dev games. If you want to play some retail games, take a look into xextool.

Pretty rare expensive console you have there. I wouldnt try to convert it to a retail, as the dev kit you have there is probably in the 400-600 range if it has the original case.

Hmm that would explain a few things. But I am kind of confused, you say its worth 4-600.. What is it good for yes I know its a proto you should see the markings on the case bar codes and the works.

Why would someone want one, just to say they have one?

It is a development console made for creating xbox games. The wires coming out of the side of the case are connected to the nand points, and they are actually wires that are suppose to connect to a sidecar. On the sidecar there are ports for dvd emulation, and debugging.

Also I forgot to say, but these consoles are only leased to game developers, so none are acutally allowed to be bought or sold, and that is why its so rare. One of the people at a game developing company probably just brought one home.
