LITEON 74850 DG 162DS Won't Power?

Hi Guy's I'm really sorry to have to post this as I know it's probably been covered several times already but I can't find the info I need. I understand Modmonster has made a video tut on "bricked" liteon's but I can't find it.............maybe I need specsavers lol!

What happened was I tried to dump a 74 series (with original 74850 FW) but for whatever reason it wouldn't dump with my probe 2 (in probe mode). I then MRA'd the drive (which I've done countless times before) but the drive wouldn't show in JF and wouldn't eject as if there's no power going to it. I've tested everything to make sure I didn't have a short to earth and the power light on my CK3 Pro stay's lit so I'm sure it hasn't been shorted.

Just to make sure my set up was ok I dumped and different drive so I know everythings ok equipment wise.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As I don't yet have a dump of the drive this isn't any good. I think I've misunderstood and thought it was a tut to get the FW.

So far it seems that my options are

1) Send the drive to Teajunkie
2) Fit a Nand-x and get a coolrunner when they're available

As I said on my previous post though I'm sure the drive wasn't shorted, the CK3 stays powered on and there are no burn marks on the logic board so I'm guessing there's something daft that I'm missing!

Post some High-Res pics of the PCB showing the trace cuts/repairs....maybe someone will see something you have missed

mate had this with drive yesterday tried it a while ago and nothing wouldn't eject show on jf so put to one side then started again yesterday and nothing was talking to diaboliq20 about it and was ether send to tea junkie or spares pluged my probe 3 in and moved the power around in there and bingo key came up all flashed ready to go so no idea what the problem was but just try and move the power cable????

Sorry pics turned out rubbish as I've loaned my camera out and only have my phone.

Had a bit more play this afternoon and decided to give in and send it to Teajunkie!
