Hello all,
Just hoping somebody out there is kind enough to give me a little advice.

I have a DG-16d4s 0225 with winbond chip, I have spent the last few days solid reading
up on how to kamikaze, I have come to the conclusion that drilling an IC is a bit
mental.
So I have just bought a Liteon DG-16D4S Replacement PCB (V1.1) and an X360USB PRO 2.
I already have 12v molex power.
My questions are:
1. Am I missing anything to successfuly flash my drive?

2. how do I revert to stock firmware? I am lead to believe that the drive needs to be unlocked to get a full dump but since I am replacing the drives pcb and not unlocking the original, then I will never have the full stock firmware to revert to, right?

Apologies if the questions are a bit dumb but I've been staring at the screen so long
that I can't think straight anymore.
Thanks in advance.

A galaxy far far away....
try this

or this

x360usb v2 and a molex is all you will need, you should be able to read the drive with no issues

Use the links Frayed supplied. You will need a USBPRO and CK3 or USBPROV2. You dont say if you have flashed drives before. If you have follow Ubergeeks guide also JF PDF shows the steps.

When fitting the wires from your drive to the block supplied remeber to first screw the block screws till you see the metal leg drop down then insert your trimed wires and screw the block screws in to lift the metal leg to trap your wire and give full continuity. Also remember to outro the drive afew times to not get the open tray error.
