I've flashed a dg16d2s drive and got it working in my slim xbox 360. I want to know if its safe to go on xbox live with that drive in my slim?

Yes provided its flashed correctly and locked. But I'm sure you know when we say safe there is a slim chance any mod to your box can get you banned.
well yea you know what i mean when i say "safe"/ I would have felt a LITTLE more comfortable putting in a ltu replacement board in my slim dvd drive and going online with it as to using a phat xbox lite on drive and going on xbox live with it.
What will happen if i flash this dg16d2s frive with my slim key but DONT lock it?

tbh,i havent locked many of my slim drives back down per customer request,and they have all been fine.however,ofc we alllllways recommend putting things back to the way they were.

I will second that especially on an LTU2 on this pcb. It will require MRA hack to get it unlocked.

i think it's whatever your comfortable with obviously with the locking preferable but as others said they don't lock theirs and use it fine on xbl so it's really your call...
