So I have a 16MB Jasper that I am trying to RGH, had cr4xl installed with jr-programmer and everything seemed to be fine, would boot fine, about a day later xbox wont turn on at all, totally unresponsive using power button or dvd drive button. desoldered everything to try to start all over and still completely unresponsive with everything taken out. Was told that it could be an issue with R2B24 so did the repair for that using wire and a 33ohm resistor, and still have nothing. Most notable thing is that U5B1 and U5B2 both get extremely hot when the console is plugged in so im thinking it has to be something going wrong there. Any thoughts on what to check and what else to try?

Had exactly the same issue with a 16MB Jasper.

I desoldered everything and restored the NAND to stock; that got it booting again.

See if it boots stock.

Just put the jr-programmer back in and tried to restore the retail nand with jrunner but it just gives me the error code 0x00000

I don't think its a soldering issue with the jrprogrammer because I was able to flash the nand when I was install the RGH, once the xbox stopped powering on is when I started getting this error.

Looks like shortbridge somewhere. Make good quality photos of install and soldering points and fill template

there is nothing installed right now, the cr4 xl and jr programmer were both removed and all wires desoldered in the hopes that it would allow the xbox to boot again. Basically it wasnt powering on when everything was installed and its still not powering on with everything removed. I can still take photos of all the points if you think that would help.

Just reinstalled the jr-programmer, tried to reflash the retail nand and only got a 0x00000 error, rechecked all the wiring and tested again and same thing, so I don't think its going to allow me to reflash it until this power issue is sorted out.

In my experience, the no power issue was always caused by a corrupted / bad NAND.

The 0x000000 error in JRunner is usually bad nand connections or there is no power to the motherboard - you do have your power cable plugged in right?

Post photo's of your wires connected to your board for reading / writing your NAND.

Just tried again and still same error code, removed everything, cleaned it all up really well and resoldered again and still same error code. i think this board is dead, im giving up.
