So I go the 3rod death again. I go and try the heat gun method and everything. Put it together, boot it up, works for about 10 seconds with the fans going crazily fast and then shuts off with 2 lights. I know 2 lights means overheating, but is it possible I may possibly burnt out one of the chips? When it does boot up, it goes through the 360 graphic and then dashboard but thats it. Even waiting 45 mins when it's cold it just goes straight to 2 lights. Gradually, went back to 3 lights.

Then, I tried the 3 penny trick. It got rid of the 3 lights but back to the 2. Think I might just give up.

whats the penny trick?
Placing 3 pennys each on the memory chips and wrap them in electrical tape. I can't remember the whole reason behind it but it has been known for success of fixing the 3 lights.

Well it is overheating as with the 2 red lights showing. try and replace the heat sink compound with some new AS5 on both the CPU and GPU. Just be careful when removing the xclamps as not to damage the motherboard. Then add the 12 penny fix if that don't do it. I had to do both on mine to get it to work but it's been working for 3 months now.
