I'm new to this and had an experienced friend of mine install an X3 CE. The x-box was bought recently and I'm assuming it's the new one. For some reason it didn't seem to boot at his house so I brought it home with me to ponder. When I hooked it up and ran it with chip enabled it did load up and asked me from where did I want to update the bios. not knowing excatly what I was doing I made a disk with a bios on it. EvolutionX M8plus Bios is what I used and made a disk with a dummy file. Now here is where I get stupid. The first load of this bios failed and just stoped halfway through the green bar filling up so I gave it 30+ mins before I had to hit power and just shut it down. I did it to both the banks aparently so now it only powers on for a half second shuts off and does that once more before blinking amber and green. I don't know how to get the back up 256k cache bios to work at all I can't seem to find the right bank setting to get it running. I was wondering if I junked my chip?
