After installing my x3 chip I noticed that I wasn't get v3.3 light to come on my chip and no lights were on my external switch. After running through the different topics in the forums, I noticed a lot of people with the same problem and I had a bent prong where the cables for the external switch connected to the x3 chip. I tried to fixed the prong, but it only ended up braking off. I thought I would try it any ways and found that all the lights came on and when powered up I got the blue screen with the flashbios v3.0.0.

My question is since that prong on the chip broke off (the far right one when looking at the chip face down) is this going to cause a problem with the proper workings of the chip?

you don't really need the external switch at all. the x3 will work fine without it.
you can flash the different banks in x3cl and boot to the banks also. the external switch is just an extra for those that want the lan and hd leds and such.
