yea, why'd they make two versions in the first place? I'm pretty sure there was xbmp and xbmc that were BOTH being updated and had similar stuff but dev. on xbmp stopped while back.
so why two versions in the first place? As i remember, both had about the same amount of features, both looked similiar, and weren't both run by the same dev team??
ok XBMP and XBMC are completely different. They are made by the same people but dont not contain the same code. XBMP is no longer being updated since like the beganing of 2004 not 2005 and XBMP is still being updated. XBMP was first made and i think it was to hard to add stuff in the coding so the started XBMC. I know that they start XBMC from scrah and learned from what they learned from XBMP.

well yea i know that CURRENTLY xbmp and xbmc are completely different since it has been about a year i guess since dev on xbmp ceased. I was wondering the point of why they decided to make two versions but you answered that pretty good.
