Different Banks = Differet FlashBIOS vers?

Hi All

Before i go and flash bank 1:

From my reading and poking around i gather that on my 2.6CE which is hooked into my 1.6b XBox, that Bank 1 has FlashBIOS 3.0.3 and Bank 2 has FlashBIOS 3.0.1. Is this correct? Only bank 1 is working for me at the moment.

Assuming that is a yes, that means that if i screw up the bios on bank 1 my chip is rendered useless? I am going to install x2_5035_v16plus_512k.bin on this bank. I shouldn't have any dramas ?

Just wanted to check all that before i go and flash my 1 useable bank

Just flash the bank that has the flashbios that dose not work if flashbios that works is on bank 1 flash bank 2 if flashbios works on bank 2 flash bank 1

i think you have to make the bios into a 1mb in size do a search on how to flash your chip before you flash

No, it's the other way around...2.6 chips have 3.01 on bank 1 and 3.03 on bank 2...double check your switch if it's really on bank 1 position because if you're getting a flashbios 3.03 that's definitely bank 2.

Now, after you made sure that you're booting on bank 2 then you can proceed to flashing the x2_5035 bios and this will flash over to bank 1 which is not usable on your xbox version.
