Different Mod chip

well Ive tried a whole lot of stuff with my boot disk problem even swaping out the Thompson DVD rom for a samsung that didnt work either though however the mod chip I have in there dosnt apear to look like anything Ive seen on the internet its extremly small and wraped with some rubber kind a thing Im hesitent to take the rubber off cause hell if I know what its there for so my question is is there a possibility that the chip I have inside my box is some sort of fake that says its an xecutor 2 at least where the X box logo is and If so is there perhaps another chip I can install that wont give me any sh*t in order to ftp over to my x box I should remind though that my dashboard was updated by x-live and now dosn't go to my old dash so If I put a new chip inside would I still have this lame ass problem

If the "Xecuter 2" that you refer to is on the boot screen, that only indicates that you have an X2 BIOS on you chip... there are many chips that you can install the X2 BIOSes to.

Check the ID your chip link in my sig to try and find what chip you actually have installed... this may help.

There is definitly nothing even close to what I have in my xbox you see I had my chip installed at a tianguese yes a weird word I know its basicly a mexican black market though Im just wondering if say the new xecutor 3 or the xenium chip which both have an intergrated bios will help me ftp to my box wish I think is yes I guess ill just have to read more however as always your quik easy anwsers that I almost feel spoon feed are much abliged
