OK back to the point, if anyone wants one of these cool devices I made, (see above), let me know. They are £10 if you're in the UK and $25 if your'e in the USA. Both of those prices INCLUDE postage and packing. So no extra cost.

I did that just for fun, I printed out a cover for the game, and stuck it in a demo case so it looks like the real thing, just to get reactions lol.

bump, anyone want one of these devices? Note: not for xbox live users as you can't disable your chip once this is installed unless ypu take it off the lpc pins.

I said before that this device wouldn't be suitable for XBOXLIVE users because it won't let you disable the X3chip, but I just realised that the little red wire was unplugged from my control panel adapter, so it IS SUITABLE for XBOXLIVE users as now it will allow you to disable your X3 chip. :D

LOL, the little wires are the ones that get I'll never remember the time, my negative/ground wire for the xbox fan which i had taped to the side of the case, which makes the fan run at 12v came off, o it ran like that for about 10mins I'm guessing then blinky blinky orange signal from the xbox. Turned it on checked the temp well would you look at that 190 F.

Here's a diagram of how to use the security pad.

The power and eject switches were moved to under controller ports 3 and 4. You just thread them through the holes underneath, the same as when you thread the wires through for the X2.3B or X3 chip's external panel. Easy!

This seems easily beatable by just pressing the power button then holding down all the buttons on the number pad. Unless you have a logic circuit in there somewhere that only lets it accept the 3 digits you want...right now from what i can tell you just basically have 3 switches that all have to be pressed at the same time, one power switch and 3 on the number pad. That is really not that secure at all.

Yep, that would be right, but it's difficult to press all the buttons at once, and for anyone who doesn't know what the thing is, it is pretty secure.

A good way to make it better would be to add an 8-pin switch wired up so that each switch has to be set to a certain setting for it to work. E.g: ON, OFF, ON, ON, OFF, OFF, ON, OFF.
