Hello

I have just succesfully installed bios .4983 and I read in the info file that more details regarding the disable access to xbox live can be found at http://www.teamxecuter.com/x2_xbl.htm but the page is not found - can I have the correct addy please?

If not please can you tell me if this feature would stop me from accessing live if the chip is off?

Trying to setup xbox live for the first time but it keeps telling me xbox live not found.

I have a 1.3 version, modded with x2.3 and 250gb hd. It had never been on live before the hd swap. I've got 8mb line, ics setup ok, no probs there but heres the probs.....

Cable connect = OK
IP address = OK
DNS resolved = OK
XBox live = Not found.

Thers is nothing wrong with my isp, broadband is working fine etc etc.

Do you know what this means?

Not sure what they mean, but are you trying to connect with your chip on or off?
It should be OFF

ICS needs to have ports open in order to connect to Xbox Live.

Personally, I think you'll be better to get a router and have done with it.

yep, already read all the guides - doing everything as advised - not a newbie to xbox modding - just a newbie to xbox live but not incompetent.

Can anyone help please explain these codes or what might be the problem?
Then you should be able to open www.google.com and put "ICS, PORTS" or better yet "ICS, XBOX" in the search field.

Also the codes, as mentioned earlier, can be explained on www.xbox-scene.com. Do a search you'll find it eventually.

I found this:

http://www.xbox.com/en-GB/live/start/connect/sharedpc/

Although there's no mention of ports to open (I'm positive there used to be a link with ports on it).

Are you 100% sure you're booting the retail BIOS?

Martin
That was #2 on the "ICS, Xbox" search. :)

WASSUP Martin! I see your a Super Moderator now, gee whiz.

yes I did all the searchs thx floppy but I did not resolve the problem - which is why I came here for H.E.L.P

Martin - 100% sure I am booting off retail bios - turn my chip off and the original xbox dashboard loads

Have you tried to connect your modem directly to the Xbox? As I've mentioned in a previous thread, some ISPs will only connect to known MAC addresses, so you will probably have to power-cycle the modem after connecting it.

This will eliminate the ICS issue. Remember to set your IP/Subnet/Gateway on the Xbox to Dynamic.
