disable chip problem

I hold down the power button till the 3 goes red.It then reboots with the chip enabled.

I did have the problem of service code 5.So I locked the HDD and now it does the above.If anyone has any ideas please please help me.If not for me, do it for my poor xbox.

So you did the same thing before and got Error 5?

You did the right thing by locking it - what makes you think it's booting enabled?

Try a backup disk or something...

URGENT Please help!!! Dashboard update-modded xbox Question

My Xbox 360 is modded when I bought it.

Can I update my dashboard and still play copied games without having any problems?
I'm planning to update my dashboard via usb from the internet since I have no internet connection for now. I have a few copied games that I'm currently playing aside from the original games I have. If I install the latest dashboard update, will I still be able to play these games?

Sorry I'm new to the Xbox stuff. Be nice. and thanks in advance.

r u talking games update or security updates!!! if its a game update yes u can if its a security update be carefull what i do if its a security update is flash my 360 back to original firmware update the security then flash it back to h/f!!

Why don't you Download the system update to a UBS Drive and update it that way....don't have to go on live to get it ?
