disable chip

everything works o.k. but when i try to disable the chip it wont.and cant enable backup. hard drive is lock. this is a x3 chip.1959bios

i have a x3 on a v 1.0 xbox and i cant disable my chip either if u know how to fix it let me know pls

I'm pretty certain if you remove the small PCB that you plugged in between the eject/power button, and clean the sticky crap off the back, it will work - there have been numerous reports of this sticky pad shorting the pins on the back.
