Disable X3 Mod - No Boot...:(

i just finished getting some problems out of the way but now arises more... my ultimate objective is to play on Xbox Live without being banned (if its not too late )...i flashed the bios with a more recent one and am using avalaunch... x3 chip on v1.1 box... all installed and everything... my goal once again is to play live,m without banishment. to my understanding i need to lock my xbox and boot up with the chip disabled (hold the power button in for a second or two) and the original xbox flubber and dashboard should come up.... BUT... thats not the case...

first, when i hold the power button the X3 light starts out red, the computer then starts, stops briefly, starts, stops briefly once again and starts, but then nothing boots up... this is NOT what i want... ive tried holding the power button till it boots up the third time but nothing boots up... ive tried holding the power button for 1,2,3,4,5 seconds (as recommended) but as soon as i let go of it, the X3 logo turns to blue and boots up in my new bios. My HDD is locked (or so avalaunch will tell me) and i was wondering if maybe i need to mess around with switch settings? or maybe flash an(other) older/newer bios? currently the switch settings are *on on off off (off)* i would really appreciate some help because with the mod enabled, i will just get banned from live which is not in my best interest.

(bootup when holding the power button through all three boots just stays on my video screen *so nothing* and the light around the eject button flashes between red and green)

if your using an x3 chip go into x3config live and at the bottom there should be a setting that says boot with chip disabled. try that and it should boot disabled. also check the on/eject adapter pcb that came with the chip, there may be a bridged connection thats shorting. just lift up the sticky tape bit and take a look.

When you loaded Avalaunch was the M$ dash on it

no shorting happening, but what does happen is when i boot up the box with modchip enabled it goes to avalaunch dashboard, no problems.... but when i got to reboot with mod chip off (and verify that iwould like to continue) it boots back up with the mod chip off and i still get no video or audio, the LED eject button cycles in colors but nothing.... connections are good, and i CAN get to the M$ dashboard but it doesnt even disable my mod chip, so.... in turn.... "Cannot connect to xbox live" (im assuming im banned without doing anything) i just need to find out how to get the darn box to boot up with mod chip disabled... i also presume i dont need tyo press anything (also: is it normal for it to boot 2 times before actually staying booted up the third time, disabled? what switch settings?)

I am having a similar problem where if I try to disable the modchip it will start to boot with panel lit up red then turn off for a second, then back on but in blue. (modchip on)
Even if I try to reboot with modchip disabled in config live it does the same thing.. Other than that its working great..

I agree with desolate_one. The problem sounds like from the power on/eject adaptor. I would definitely make sure there are no bridging between the contacts and if there are none, then I would contact your reseller if it's still within warranty limit to get it replaced.
