LITEON 0225 Disc Read Error

Hi, I've used the TX Unlocked PCB and flashed it with LT+ 2.0, the flash seems okay since the console recognise my backups but the disc drive make some weird noise, and I can't play games. The console say "Unsupported disc"...

I think the flash is OK but I don't know what to do to fix this issue with the drive

Sounds like the laser is on it's way out

What happens when you use retail disks?

Post your JF log just so we can check it please

The console was never used before I flashed it :S

It's the same problem for backups & retail disks

I've used the lizard to flash it since I can get jungleflasher to work with the 0225 chip

Just out of interest what brand of discs are you using? There are some discs out there that should never find their way into a 360, "Just say Verbs" then we know it's the laser for sure.

post some good pics of your tx pcb install,maybe you not fitted it right.check you no wires trapped or loose.

it's just been pointed out to me, and after re-reading -you wouldn't even be able to provide a jf log here as jf wasn't used, and u used a lizard to flash.....it's either a duff laser as stated right at the start, or the laser is stuck.....try moving it by hand to free it....failing that recehck all your wiring, if you're still stuck, I can not offer any more advice

Ok I will try to check all the connections.

If I need to change the laser, can I use one from FAT 360 ? Because I've 3-4 FAT drives

also you may want to check that nuffin is obstructing the laser.

no a laser out of a phat wont work,

No. Slim use a different laser than Phat drives. You may also consider pot tweak

Here some news:

(I still use Lizard since I haven't X360USB...)

I've ordered a 9504 drive because my 0225 is dead I think...

When I put the 0225 PCB on the 9504 I can read original games without any problem.
When I use the TX PCB I get evereytime (with backups & originals) an "unrecognised disc" so I don't think the problem is the laser since I've changed it last time on my 0225 and the 9504 is new

If you have any idea... thanks !
