Discs don't always read in drive

I just recently flashed my 360, Hitachi 47DJ, and I'm finding that my backups copies don't always read. The drive requires me to eject the disc and try again... sometimes up to 7 or 8 times. The Open Tray fix hasn't increased the chances of it reading.

Is this because of my burning process or is this a known issue with the firmware?

More than likley the media you are using.

It seems most people recommend the Verbatim discs. I've tried Memorex and those don't work at all for me. Is finding the right disc for your system just something you have to do for yourself?

i have a hitachi and i use verbatims. No coasters,nuff said
