Disk Check

Ok. So I get a disks to burn all the way (TSST SH-224DB). But fails when going through the verification. I try to put in machine anyway. It is a coaster.

After doing more research, I see information and discussions regarding K-probe, diskcheck, Nero disk speed...

Please help me to understand this. Is there a need to check/verify the disk? There are differences between programs in regards to checking? And does checking/verifying write or change anything to the disk?

BTW, using the recommended Verbatim disks (from I forgot what country but the expensive ones...).

Yes u need to verify your disc. Verify doesn't write anything it just basically says what was supposed to be written was written. Kprobe is for liteon burners.

So are you saying that verification only is for your information? Does it change whether or not the disk will play?

I'm asking because perhaps I need to verify with another proggy. I ditched a disk that may have been good? I guess I'm a little confused on why to use the verification process if the end result does not change...

Because your burner might have a hiccup or anything can happen and the information written to the disc doesn't match the information that was supposed to be written. That would be verification failed. So if verification doesn't pass then your disc is no good because the burn wasn't successful
