I tried battlefield 3 in xex format and gave me an error. Installed the disc swap files and loaded up perfect. No it does not need to be in GOD format. I read in a another website that you would have to install the HD content manually in the xbox hard drive to work the best because everytime you load the game it will ask to install the HD content download.
That way works, however plugin is not necessary.
W/O disk swap:
1) can extract Disc 1 to xex format, copy the only large file (which is the HD content) to your content/0000000000000000/(Bf3 id)/ folder.
2)Extract disc 2 to GOD format, and copy it over.

Then you should be good to go.

That's what he was talking about. Note the comment 'manually install'

If i am not mistaken, in Battlefield the mentioned GOD file it is far easier and only really requires disc 2 in GOD format. Xex would add another disc to the HDD. Disc 1 is the download content that needs to be transferred to the HDD and the games boots up with disc 2. Whichever is personal preference.

Does it have to be installed as GOD for that to work? I've done it as extracted xex and confirm it does not work that way, at least not for me.
Yes, Here is a post from the FSD forums:
"They way i have it setup is like this HDD1/Xbox360/L.A. Noire/disc1/(contents of the god container for disc one here)
HDD1/Xbox360/L.A. Noire/disc2/ (contents of the god container for disc two here)
HDD1/Xbox360/L.A. Noire/disc3/ (contents of god containter for disc three here)
and it all works for me."

sorry I meant copied and pasted into here, not the actual ini files.

Still not able to get it working, just extracted disk 1, then use god for disk 2, still not working

something else to add, orignally both GOD containers for disk 1 and 2 are being seen by FSD,

Extra discs will show in FSD you have to just move the others discs 2,3 e.c.t to a hidden location in FSD under the game options (Y button I think, don't worry it just hides the links) So FSD only shows the main game.
