I recorded a BIOS on a disk and selected "Load BIOS from disk" I waited and the "Please insert CD" message came up but the tray didn't open. I tried pushing the open button, but it never opened. I searched this topic, but nothing came up, so I would appreciate help.

I doubt this has anything to do with bios flashing but more of a hardware problem. Try the eject button with the chip disabled and see if it will open. If not, disconnect your power/eject cable from the X3 power/eject adaptor and plug it directly into your mobo. If it works properly then my guess is your X3 power/eject adaptor is bad.
