Right - my apologies in advance if I'm taking a fkin liberty here, I've had my head buried in work last week or two.

Is it possible (while I wait for my Sputnik Probe) to do the DIY method (trace cut & resistor) within JungleFlasher with X360USB on a 0225 with MXIC?

I've had a browse, couldn't find anything concrete, and also had a quick play, and got 0x0 for SPI...but couldn't write anything unfortunately!

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I got a 0272 drive. Use the DIY sputnik and it works fine.

Cut trace, used a switch and wired it.

So now I just take my drive apart and flip the switch. Update firmware or what ever and reflip it. Then relock the drive.

Works great for me.

I haven't worked with Slim flashing or anything like that, but I am curious about this Sputnik Switch. From what I read, you just solder the PCB Switch onto ?ANY? Slim drive and you can unlock it?

Does this work for all Slim drives or only certain models?

That's just for winbond isn't it?
Hi all.. For those who are familiarized with the Kamikaze method, like me.....

I just got an MXIC of June 2010 unlocked and working with Kamizake. All the same easy process with USB360PRO and JungleFlasher 1.89. It was flashed with the LT+2.0 and already tested with the game RAGE.

Any doubts, do not hesitate on asking...

Bye...

Of course the Kamikaze works with MXIC - it's essentially the same chip so the SPI wire is on the same pin.

Why run the risk of drilling the chip when a simple cut trace and probe sorts it for you?

Well, you are pretty right. But, i just lost one board since i begun the kamikaze method that it´s simple for me. It´s just on the "Point and drill" way. I just posted, because some people believe that it not works and period. It was just for knowledge purposes.

Thanks.
