do dvd drive check doesn't work (x2 bios 5035)

Hi, my xbox is going in my car so no dvd drive needed, everything will be wirelessly ftp'd.

5035 bios installed and config.ini is set:

; do dvd drive check
doDvdDriveCheck = 0

however the xbox will not boot unless I have the drive attached. I've had error 12 and error 21 Can anyone tell me which bios will work without the dvd drive?

Never mind - found a natty way of adding the dvd drive so it ejects through a gap in the car dashboad.
