do i have a bad chip?

i got an x2.6, chip on a 1.6 xbox, i can not get to flash, i get the tree reboots, and frag!
i have tried hot swaping with x3 on a 1.3 xbox, i have tried hot swapping with a x2.6 on a 1.6 xbox. all xboxes have been modified and are known to work with their chips, but when installing the 2.6 i need to flash i get a frag
does anyone have an idea of what the problem is or how to fix it or do i just have a bad chip that i need to returne????????????????????

any help is app. i can not find this problem posted on the sight yet so if any one can help please do!

Okay, one thing you can do is go here and buy the Xecuter chip programmer. It lets you re-flash your chip from a computer using a program called X2 Bios Manager. If you want to upgrade or repair the bios on your chip use that if your not sure how else. Make sure you have the right bios when you flash it otherwise you'll have to take the chip back out, reflash it, and put it back in.

thanks for the link but in the short time i have been waiting i have reflashed and did the hot swap with the raincoat program, have tried befor with no positive results but retried this time with 2x x2_5032_v16plus_512k to make a 1meg bios. i am sure the program maneger would have worked but i was already on barrowed time. thanks a gain for the help and if any one comes across this problem try a hot swap with raincoat in the splinter cell exploit.
