I have 2 x-boxes and 2 mod chips (X3) and i think one of the chips are bad. I checked all the soldering points (and one of the x-boxes did need to be re-soldered on 13 and 14) but here is the issue. Both x-boxes will work fine with one of the chips. Neither xbox will work with the other chip. Are they covered under any sort of warranty? I am also sure that they are going to think that i soldered it wrong, but that cant be the case if i have the exact same setup that works with another X3 chip. Advice? Also, i am open to the possibility that possibly a bad bios flash? I have tried the exact same BIOS flash on both, on either of the 1 Meg banks and that bad chip just wont seem to load with any other bios's. I am trying the 1957 release. it WILL boot up to the backup bios or whatever it is but i try to reflash it and then when i bring it back up (after a supposedly successful flash) all i get is the blank screen with the blue light indicating the mod is enabled. Please help :)
