Do I need a dashboard installed to network to XBOX?

- I have installed 2.6CE and flashed the bios with X2.5035 via HTTP

How do i FTP to my XBOX drive? what's the IP address etc....I want to backup my XBOX - do I need to install a dashboard?

I have tried to install EvolutionX dashboard but the DVD won't boot - created using Craxtion 4.0 - games created using Craxtion on the same media type works!! - also created mutilgame disk using MXM with EvolutionX and a few games - EvolutionX won't boot but the games do.....

Any advice welcome.

You don't have to have a dashboard installed, but you will need one running. Try downloading an autoinstaller. I'm pretty sure they would have an FTP server in them.
