Do I need modded DVD firmware if I have RGH ?

Simple question, I have a Slim trinity with a DG-16D4S (probably?) and was wondering if I get the RGH hack done to it should I bother with flashing the Drive? I ask because its a pain to flash these drives and thought with the RGH I would be ok?

What are your thoughts? As far as being useful with a system that's already RGH should I spend the extra dough to flash it?

Matter of a personal preference but not really needed since one of the main purposes of having a RGH console is to play your games of the HDD without the need for inserting or swapping discs.

You can always get the drive modded but it's not a requirement.

Thats what I was wondering, if its even worth it. So is it possible to rip my original from the dvd drive straight to the HDD?

I dont personally see the need with a RGH as you can install your originals in NXE and convert using Nxe2God or when you have ripped them in your 0800 drive you can convert them via Iso2God and transfer to HDD.

not needed as has been said. i'd put the money into an 0800 drive or flash one up for ripping your originals and never have to burn a disc again i dont understand anyone putting a disc in a rgh console unless its to rip it. my jtag was almost a year old before it even had a sniff of a disc lol

He is saying this is what you can do when you have an rgh/jtag. Please look at the OP.

It was stated as RGH in the post.. Nxe2god and iso2god work great WITH RGH

A simple misread of a post and you're all jumping on it.

Once you've RGH'd there's no need for a flashed drive as you can just extract the disk to HDD or install and run NXE2GoD.

I believe you have misread/misinterpreted my response.

My answer was in relation to the OP question for a DVD drive. A RGH console without LT+ is still viable using the methods I mentioned!
