Do I need to program CR4 XL ?

I recently bought CR4 XL for my 360 SLIM, but I don't know if I need to program it or just solder everything and give it a go. My Xbox 360 is Corona 4GB v2 with dashboard 2.0.15574.0. I already solder the cables on the motherboard but not on the CR4 XL along with the kit that can read the 4GB nand from an SD Card reader. Also if I want to change my drive's motherboard I read that I need the keys from the CPU, which was the reason I bought the 4GB adapter.:D Also I know there are guides for that thing, but I got completely confused ....

Turn the xbox off. Press the eject button (you don't hold any button).

Just to clarify, you have written the ecc and booted to xell first to obtain your cpu key right? You then built a freeboot image and wrote it to the xbox?

So I DO need to write something on the damn thing. Thank you GeekHeat, I didn't wrote anything but now I will try again. So I make 2 dumps of my nand (with the 4GB SD adapter kit I presume), then I create ECC, then write the ECC. Do I need to also create Xebuild image and then write it to nand ?

Not to the chip. To the Xbox nand. You need to read your nand, create an ecc, boot to xell to get your cpu key, use the cpu key to create a freeboot image (the hacked Xbox kernel), and write it to your Xbox. Don't write anything to the cr4.

Thank you so much for your answers and I'm trully sorry for not able to answer sooner but the site was down for some reason till now. I was able to put some thought and slap my face to a wall when I finally understood that GeekHeat meant the xbox nand and not the cr4 itself. So after I found a relevant video on how to flash a Trinity (almost same procedure except I needed to point my 4GB nand manually on every step), I was able take 2 dumps from my nand, flash ecc, boot to xell and take my keys and flashed the CFW(or freeboot) and boot almost instantly (1-4 glitches max). Thank every single of you for helping me. The only question I have is how I install xebuild and dashlaunch. Also where I can find the latest xex menu ?

Yes, 2 dumps. Also with those and the extracted keys, am I able to program an LTU PCB for DG-16D5S and can I finally use any kind of 2,5" HDD as internal storage and load my backups ?
