I'm currently on 3.0.2 and nothing seems to be working as far as installing .xci files. I have a 128gb micro sd formatted as FAT32 and a 64gb Flash Drive formatted as exFAT with my .XCI backups on it. I send payload, navigate to SX OS Installer (License is active/valid) and have the Switch in Dock mode with the Flash Drive attached to the bottom of the 2 USBs on the side of the dock. Sometimes the .XCI show up in the file browser, but nowhere else. When I click one in the browser it throws an error that it can't start. I also get an error booting into the SX OS menu saying DS can't be loaded. What's the deal? Do I need to update my Switch to enjoy newer games? I feel lost and have spent 4 days now researching and have hit a wall.

So far I have purchased the SX OS license, backed up my NAND, formatted my 128gb card to FAT32 since I don't have exFAT support, and have loaded .XCIs onto my flash drive formatted as exFAT. Can't figure out how to install them, can't figure out how to use ChoiDujorNX either. Does ChoiDujourNX require me to manually download an OFW to upgrade? Do I have to upgrade my OFW to continue? Please help this lost confused individual

Here is a guide for updating with Choi. Do not update to 7.0 or 7.0.1 though as that is not supported at the moment.

I would start with updating to 6.2 and then trying again.

Have you tried just mounting the XCI files instead of installing them?

Yes, but it threw errors. I have updated OFW to 6.2.0 with choi and formatted my sd to exFAT, just copied everything back over to the sd and booted. Checking to see if I can install directly from root of sd...I see games, I see updates, I see an install all option for updates...Installing! So I suppose two problems were one: I was on OFW 3.0.2 which doesn't seem to support newer games, and by updating using Choi I was able to enable exFAT support so now I'm not limited to 4gb files and don't have the need to split XCI files. I will respond with end results after installs go through. Currently at 9% so it will probably take a while. Thanks!
