Does anyone know if there is a power adapter that plugs from the Xbox mobo into a standard 4 molex adapteer so that you can install a new DVD-rom that will plug into the mobo and be able to use the eject button? I know you can use a splitter from the HDD to power up a new DVD-rom,but that doesnt let you use the eject button.Does anyone know if there is an adapter that lets you plug a DVD-rom into the Xbox mobo?

Not that I know of but if you search for SD-616 tutorial you will find a diagram to rewire the whole thing and you can just make an adapter
whats it matter anyway? The only DVD drive that works with the XBox is the samsung616T, and in that case why not just buy it from divineo.com and save yourself the case modding and the hassle of doing it all yourself when its already done for you!
I thought I remembered reading that you can hook up a DVD-rom drive by splitting the molex connector from the hard drive...but you wont be able to use the eject button from the Xbox.....I just bought a DVD-rom drive and havent trie dit yet...but are you absolutely positive that only the samsung616T is compatible?
Actually he is wrong! You can use other drives, however, if you are still going to use it for Xbox games you have to use the sd-616 f or t revisions.
I just bought the DVD-rom so I can plug it in for copying games to my hard drive...I dont intend on playing disks from it....just for copying the games that my Phillips drive is having problems with.
well only the samsung 616 will read xbox games.

Did the new LT flashware come out yet for the new dashboard
I modded my xbox about 6 months ago, i have a lite on drive. What do i do now, did they come out with the new firm ware to make it work on the new dashboard?

360's with Sammy drives seem to be safe for NOW
because the drive can't do the AP 2.5 checks.
