as the title say, does anybody know how to repair dead xbox 360 controller? which part should be replaced etc? how to troubleshoot etc
i have repair a lot of wireless and wired controller but not a dead one.

But i am very sure it is not a power / battery problem. I usually connect it to a play and charge cable to determine if it is a battery or power problem. i think it is a dead chip or dead capacitors, regulator etc.
So is there any usual component that should be replaced?

thx.

What happens to the controller when you try to turn it on? Is it a wired or wireless controller? A short answer that may help is use a multimeter to check the parts that you think are failing.

it is a wireless controller and it is totally dead (no power at all - even using a play & charge cable or using a battery). Yes, i have a multimeter, but i dont know which part that should be replaced.
A wired controller usually fail because of its cable, - replacing the cable will fix the controller

In Image 1, just below where the battery would connect to the right of J1 there is a small grey dot. It looks like it needs to be cleaned there, and if you follow those traces to the left it looks like there is another spot that needs cleaning.
