i am currently installing my xecuter 3 and am having a few soldering issues, leading to keep taking everything out then putting it all back it, would it matter if i did not put in the HD and DVD to power up and would the modchip show itself as working(ext LEds) without these in. :shock:

if you dont solder the hdd and lan status lights, they just wont light up on your front board. it shouldn't effect the chip at all.

I test all the chips i install by powering up without the hdd or dvd drive. If it doesnt frag and the lights come on i put the drives in.

you should get the Flashbios screen without the drives. I http flashed 2 chips recently without a drive connected.

wow okay. sorry i read it wrong there, it thought you were asking if it would matter if you soldered the status lights wrong.
