Do i need to have flashbios 3.0.3 thingy or can i flash my x3 with the one it has already.... which is 3.0.1........this are not accurate but you guys know what i am saying....and if you do need to use the newer one you just put it in the folder with the bios or what? When you try to flash it...

No ...the flashbios that comes with your chip ALLOWS u to flash the chip with a "real" X3 bios.
A "real " bios cannot be shipped with the x3 because it uses illegal code..nor can it be posted up on a website for example so please don't ask for it.
u need to read some more but get a real bios from xbins and flash that to your X3.

just get the bios...set switches to on,on,off,off,off (or if its a pro switch left to right off(flash protect),on,on,off,off) and flash

3.0.1 doesnt work on 1.6 rev boxes and the 3.0.3 doesnt work on the pre 1.6 rev boxes (is why you have to specify when purchasing) about the only diff there.

not true. 3.0.1 works with 1.6 but not on 1.6b. You can use 3.0.3 on any versions of xboxes from 1.0-1.5 and 1.6b but not 1.6 xbox.

basically, if you don't have a 1.6b and it is working then leave it alone, there is no other reason to load 3.0.3

theoretically but I believe that no other versions will work with 1.6b except 3.0.3. At least that is what I have read but yeah, if it works then don't fix it.
